Creator’s Corner: The Mindset Experience Podcast with Dr. T

Dr. Arman Taghizadeh (Dr. T for short) is a Board Certified Psychiatrist/Sports Psychiatrist (medical doctor), former NCAA Division 1 wrestler and TEDx speaker. He is also the founder of Mindset Training Institute® (MTI) which provides mental health education, support and mindset training for athletes, teams, military and business professionals. Through his medical practice, he helps athletes and average joe’s take meaningful steps towards overcoming personal and professional obstacles every day.

Dr. T also hosts The Mindset Experience Podcast (sponsored by The Hidden Opponent, a favorite resource of the late, great Kobe Bryant), a podcast that explores the mindset of elite performers. Three episodes you should DEFINITELY check out are:

  1. Dr. T and John Harbaugh (coach of the Baltimore Ravens) - Episode 057

  2. Dr. T and Kyla Ross (Olympic Gold Medalist Gymnast) - Episode 092

  3. Dr. T on Failure and Fear - Episode 134

Over the last few months, I've gotten to know Dr. T, and he’s as real and authentic as it gets. And, he’s a badass in his own right…

Through TME, Dr. T eloquently guides listeners through in-depth and real conversations, which often feel like 1:1 coaching sessions for guests and listeners alike.

Everyone needs a mental health professional/coach in their corner; one who “gets it”. For me, Dr. T is one of my go-to guys, and The Mindset Experience Podcast has made a big impact on the way I think about mindset and mindset training.

You can find Dr. T on all social platforms via his LinkTree.

Singer - The Greatest Car Manufacturer that You’ve Never Heard of

No one brings a car back to life quite like Singer Vehicle Design. The Los Angeles-based manufacturer was founded in 2009 with one purpose: take 1980s/1990s era Porsche 911’s, and turn them into rolling pieces of art with 500HP.

Singer takes cars from this…

to this…

If you want to geek out on Singer’s brilliance check out these three videos…

Singer represents a truly beautiful intersection of art and modern-day American manufacturing and engineering. EVERY DETAIL, inside is out, is created to perfection - anything less is simply not tolerated.

For a cool $500,000 - $1,500,000 (depending on your specs) and a 4 year wait time, you can have one yourself!

A Trick You Can Use to Bypass Website Paywalls

I run into paywalls all the time, and there’s nothing worse than getting stopped by one.

Introducing…12ft.io

12ft.io is incredibly simple, useful and FREE. Just take the paywall’d hyperlink, copy and paste it into the site, and 12ft will do its best to remove the paywall for you.

A lot of the big players (NYT & Bloomberg to name a few) have wised up to their site, and adjusted accordingly. However, I still find that 12ft works about for about 50-60% of sites I try.

If you ever get stopped by a paywall, take the extra 30 seconds and try 12ft.io. There’s a good chance that will do the trick!

A Newsletter That Helps Me Find Cool Sh*t

Every week, Chamath Palihapitiya, a famous Venture Capitalist and co-host of one of the biggest podcasts in the world, All-In, puts out a substack where he highlights what he read each week.

For example, here’s this weeks…

It’s very likely that you won’t be interested in each article he posts, but, I typically find one of two interesting articles a week from his lists.

In a world full of noise, I often find a ton of signal in Chamath’s substack.

If you think you’d find value in his weekly lists, you can subscribe HERE or follow Chamath on Twitter HERE.

That’s it for this week’s Constantly Curious.

What did you think? ALL feedback is welcome. Additionally, if you read/watched something you think I would like - PLEASE send it my way.

Stay Curious, Friends.
