Creator’s Corner: Kelsey Lensman and Mission48
48 fitness competitions. In 48 states. In 48 days.
Starting September 1st, that’s the mission for Kelsey Lensman.
Kelsey, a 27-year old entrepreneur, is a self-proclaimed “normal girl on a big mission”. As the founder of EmpowHER Fitness, Kelsey has spent the last several years building out events, coaching platforms and community for women all over the country. But now, she’s embarking on her biggest challenge yet.
Here’s the game plan…Kelsey and her team will jump in an RV starting September 1, and follow the below schedule for the following 48 days. Cross-Fit events, powerlifting meets, and distance runs/bikes - you name it, it’s on the list of competitions for Kelsey to knock down.
It’s going to be INSANE, and the entire process will be documented on IG/YouTube so we can follow along.
Through M48, Kelsey is raising money for ROX, Ruling Our eXperiences, a national non-profit that provides empowerment programs for elementary, middle and high school girls. The main goal - raise enough money to sponsor 10,000 girls for ROX programs across the country!
Kelsey’s mission is incredible, and I can’t wait to follow her journey. You can follow M48 and Kelsey on all social media platforms, including IG and YouTube.

An App to Consider If You Want to Get Serious About Nutrition
Over the last 9-12 months, I have exclusively used Carbon Diet Coach for all of my nutrition tracking. Carbon is a smart diet coach app (think MyFitnessPal) that allows you to track all of your macronutrients/calories/weight each day.
However, Carbon isn’t just a food tracker - the real value add is in the built-in, automated nutrition coach.
The process is incredibly simple: It all starts with setting a goal (gain weight, lose weight, or maintain weight). You’ll input some basic metrics (height, weight, etc), and Carbon will spit out what it believes your “maintenance calories” are (in my experience, this estimate is spot on). Then, Carbon takes your maintenance calories (essentially your break-even point), and increases/decreases your daily calories in conjunction with your desired weekly weight change (gain 1 lb. a week, lose 1 lb. a week, etc).
The best part: Once per week, Carbon will prompt you to “check-in”. Here, you will answer compliance questions and input your current weight. If you did not accomplish the stated goal for the week (let’s say, lose 1 lb.), Carbon will automatically adjust your daily calorie goal DOWN (since you evidently weren’t in enough of a deficit the prior week). This works the same way during a bulking/weight-gain phase and maintenance phase.
Carbon is a fantastic product and something I wholeheartedly recommend. Co-created by Layne Norton and backed by folks like Andrew Huberman and Peter Attia, you can feel confident that it’s the real deal!
Three Quotes & Ideas of Consider
“Think of yourself as dead, you have lived your life. Now, take what’s left and live it properly.”
Every action has a second-order effect on your energy.
Start to be conscious of how things make you feel.
How does eating a certain food make you feel?
What activities make you feel alive?
Which drain you?
What makes you feel creative?
What makes you feel dull?
