All-In Summit: Here’s What you Missed

On March 14th, 2020, 4 prominent Venture Capitalists (and best friends) got together on a whim to record a podcast - in it, they debriefed on COVID, the state of the world economy, and what could be coming next for all of us.

In the 3 years since, Jason Calacanis, Chamath Palihapitiya, David Friedberg, and David Sacks have built “All In” into one of the most influential media properties in the world. Every week, the 4 self-described “besties” (along with an assortment of guests) get together and discuss emerging technology, markets, economics, politics and more - and they do it with as much intellectual honesty as anyone else in media.

They also put on the All In Summit, a TED-style conference where subject-matter experts across all domains come and give talks, answer Q&A, and participate in panel discussions.

Here’s are the highlights from 2023’s Summit, which concluded a few weeks ago:

  1. Conversation with Bill Gurley, legendary investor, on the pitfalls of over regulation and how it inhibits progress

  1. Conversation with Brian Armstrong, Founder and CEO of Coinbase, on where Crypto goes from here

  1. Conversation with MrBeast, YouTuber with 186 MILLION subscribers, on his business model, journey, and future

  1. Conversation with Ray Dalio, author of Changing World Order and Former Hedge Fund Manager, on the rise and fall of nations

Sports Moments that Really Make you Feel

This week, the Philadelphia Phillies (my favorite baseball team) successfully clinched their second consecutive playoff birth, and they had a celebration for the ages. But, as great as it was, it pales in comparison to what it would be like to win the World Series.

Last year, the Phils were a Cinderella Story that made it within two games of accomplishing that feat, and rooting for that team was the most fun I have EVER had rooting for a team.

So, in honor of the MLB Playoffs quickly approaching once again, let’s revisit some of my personal favorite sports moments (and celebrations) in history.

What am I missing?!
